Hello! How una dey? Today has been great so far. The only thing I don’t understand is the heat in Lagos. I’m not even overreacting or anything but damn! I got like 10 shades darker! Today, we are talking about our top 10 favorite food.
Food! I think I’m in love with the idea of food than food itself, if that makes sense. So basically, I see images of well served food and I go ‘YUM!’; put the same plate before me and I might likely struggle to finish it. But anyway, here goes my ten favorite foods in no particular order.
Chinese food. I can never get tired of my special fried rice and chicken in hot chilli sauce. Yum!
Spicy noodles. OMG!!! When cooked properly with vegetables, diced pepper and served with a cold bottle of coke. Say no more.
White rice, plantain and stew. Best for Sunday afternoon.
English breakfast, potatoes, bacon, baked beans, eggs, sausages. Lol. I’ll have this every morning.
Pizza. Yes, Pizza. With extra cheese and pepperoni.
Amala, ewedu and gbegiri. I don’t eat this often out of respect and love for the food. Oh I forgot to add ‘inu eran’. Yoruba dishes are amazing and it will be hard to explain properly. Just gotta taste it to understand this.
Hot dog. Lol Give me hot dog and I will marry you. (Not sexual)
Ice Cream. Excuse me, you don’t think ice cream is food? please DPMO.
Salad, served alone or with rice. I don’t care. Salad is bae and healthy.
Eba. Hot eba with okro soup. Yum! Another Sunday afternoon, after church special.
I love food and I am super grateful for good genes. I would’ve been dealing with obesity by now with the things I eat! My appetite is usually all over the place. One day, I’m eating 6 times. The next day, I’m eating once. I love food so much I created a Food blog on tumblr like 4 years ago. WARNING!!! (Don’t check it out if you’re hungry!!!!!) Anyway, my 10 favorite foods in no particular order.
Garri, very cold water, sugar and groundnut. Oh lord. Best thing ever when you get back home after a hot day in Lagos!
Pounded yam + Egusi/Efo elegusi (aka egusi + vegetable) with all sorts of meat. (This my favorite soup to cook. So easy and delicious)
Cheese burger! McDonald’s cheese burger is bae.
Ofada rice and stew. I’m getting hungry already. Yum!
Hey yall. We are clearly not doing this challenge everyday. Shame on us. I hope you all are having/had a good day! It’s day 10 – Best trip of your life!
Lol You’d think that this was going to be a difficult question to answer. See, I’ve been on quite a number of trips, picking one ought to be a chore but not exactly.
My best trip (so far, because there’s still a lot ahead) gotta be visiting Dominica. If you want a wild summer, then that is the place to be. Alcohol, sun, bikini, food. So many fun memories with my sisters. I desire to visit again someday to create new memories. In the meantime, I will try to look for pictures from that trip to post)
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to the trips that 2016 holds. I know they’re going to be so lit. I plan to go on a cruise to different islands. Let’s see how that goes. (fingers crossed)
I’ve been on so many trips mostly with my sisters. I can’t even decide on which one deserves the title ‘Best trip of my life’. In 2010, my sisters and I spent our summer holiday in London. Titi was studying in a different country back then so we didn’t get to chance to be together and hang out as sisters. A trip I remember quite well which happens to be one of my favorite trips was when my eldest sister Gbemi and I traveled to Barbados. We were both in med school in Dominica then and whenever we had to get the UK visa, we had to travel to Barbados because the embassy is there. I remember arriving in the apartment we rented. we were excited to be in Barbados. We took so many pictures. It is such a beautiful island and you guys should totally visit. After we finished with the visa stuff we decided to explore the town. Lmao We were walking around like tourist for like two hours, we were so lost. We finally located this amazing beach. We were in Barbados during the agricultural festival (I think). We saw different plants/animals. We went horse back riding. The day before we left the island we went for a Soca/Calypso show and it was so cool. I think that was when i fell in love with Soca and Calypso music. It was a really good trip. We got the UK visa and we were able to travel to London spend the summer break with Titi. I will look for pictures from this trip. It’s somewhere in Gbemi’s laptop.
Hey guys!! 🙂 Today was quite eventful. Lagos traffic is not for the weak abeg. Anyway, since we were looking quite fleekful today we took a bunch of selfies. We had to share the fleekfulness. (please just ignore these new words I’m making up)
Titi was obsessed with her face today. Make up was done by Tega. My friend’s friend. Lol. She’s very good. I was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit nervous about the bright colors but it worked.
Hey wonderful blog readers. TGIF!! I went to the dentist’s office today! But guess what? They told me whatever they were expecting from the lab is not ready so I had to reschedule. I was a bit annoyed cuz I had to wake up early to go there because Lagos traffic.
Day 9- What’s in your bag?
My bag is usually not heavy except I’m planning to sleep over at Titi’s place. I basically just carry the essential stuff. I took this picture in the car on my way to the dentist’s office.
Mac Studio fix powder
Novel; ‘I don’t know how she does it – Allison Pearson’
Blackberry playbook ( Gotta be ready for lagos traffic)
Ring (I always somehow end up removing the Rings I wear. Weird)
Dental clinic card.
My bag is always heavy (I think I got that from my mom). I carry unnecessary stuff everywhere. I am making conscious efforts to stop this habit and I see improvements daily. I had to take the picture at work. Oh btw, you will find all these in my bag on a normal day;
Mac Studio fix powder
Vaseline lip balm
Work ID card
What’s usually in your bag ladies? Share with us in the comments section below. 🙂
Hey y’all! How are you guys doing? It’s almost Friday! So excited for this weekend partly because Titi and I would be attending a wedding together. Weirdly, we don’t attend a lot of weddings together. I’m not too sure why. Lol. I am sure Titi is not so excited about Saturday though as they told her to be at work from 9-12noon. I’m not sure if they’re actually trying to kill her. They’re a bit too demanding. Ahn! I am not looking forward to Friday though because I’ve got a Dentist appointment and we all know how that goes! Bleh.
Anyway, today’s challenge is to list 5 current goals.
5 CURRENT GOALS – TITI
I already mentally listed like 8 goals but here are my top 5 goals.
To be closer to God. A great relationship with God is everything and I need to do better.
To switch department/job. I am tired of my current department at work. (P.S- If you can help, please let me know so I can forward my CV).
To plan my vacation for next year. Yes, I have to start putting things in place to make this trip awesome.
To pass my exams. I have some professional exams to write next month and I am lowkey worried because I haven’t been studying like I should. Sigh
To perfect my driving. I learnt how to drive like 2 years ago but didn’t practice much but it’s becoming a necessity so I got someone to drive me and teach me for a month. Hopefully, I have not forgotten everything.
5 CURRENT GOALS – TOSIN
Get closer to God. This is already going well and I’m definitely happy about it.
Get a job. I need to start working soon but this Housejob/Internship hunt thing is not for the weak o.
Travel the world. Okay, maybe this won’t happen soon but it is definitely a goal for me. I mean, If I don’t even travel the world, I should be able to travel to most African countries.
Do some professional exams.
Be more social. Go out, meet people and make friends.
Feel free to share your goals in the comments section! We would love to read them and maybe typing/writing them out will actually help you stay motivated! Maybe. 🙂

By the way, this is a tough question to narrow down to five. I have a long list.
Hi everyone! It’s Monday again! We hope you all have a great week ahead. We will be skipping the 30 day blogging challenge today to post some pictures. Yay! We recently ordered some retrocode shirts and we just had to make a post about it. What we love about these shirts is how they can be worn in different ways. Here are some pictures.
Hey lovely people! How are you all doing? Good, I hope! It’s day 6.. What are you afraid of?
I am afraid of failing – Not attaining the goals and Heights I have set. I really want to be successful and I work really hard to be.
I am also afraid of not having the kind of love I crave, that true pure love. Anything short of that scares the hell out of me.
I am going with Titi on this one. I am so afraid of failing. Even when I was younger. In Secondary school, failing to me was getting a lower grade than what I got the semester before. I remember in JSS 2, the semester ended and I got 3Rd position. I cried home and when I got home my dad asked why I’ve been crying thinking I failed and I told him I went from being the top of my class to the 3Rd. He then made me understand that although it was not as good as my previous result, I did so well and should be very proud of myself. Long story short, I am so afraid of failing and failing to me is not doing as good as I know I can do.
I am also afraid of eventually settling when it comes to love.
Hey wonderful blog readers! If you’re in lagos, how are you dealing with this heat? If you’re not in Lagos, then lucky you! Anyway, it’s day 5! Can November chill small? Ahn
Day 5- Proudest moment
I have had so many proud moments in my life. Strangely, most of them are all related to Doctor/School stuff but my proudest moment (this year) would have to be the moment I saw my name on the list of people that passed the MDCN assessment exam. I was so nervous that day because the list was going to be posted online for the world to see. It was all worth it when I saw my name. I am now licensed to work as a Doctor in Nigeria. I am so proud of myself like one goal down, more to go!
In my life, there are two moments that stand out vividly as my proudest moments so far. I know there’s more ahead but these stand out like a sore thumb.
The first was my university graduation ceremony when I was called to the stage as the best graduating student in my faculty. I studied Economics. I was so proud of myself having successfully defied all the odds to emerge the best. Yes, very proud moment for me.
The second time was some time this year, I was on a trip I funded, for the first time in my life (Not by daddy) and while on this vacation, I received a call that I was given double promotion. I was like OMG, God is working. 🙂
